What: Tuba Christmas Concert
When: December 21 – 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Sculpture Park
The annual Denver TubaChristmas is coming up on Sunday, Dec. 21! 250+ tubas, euphoniums, baritones, sousaphones and other unique low brass instruments will be performing 4-part Christmas carols, arranged by a great friend of the tuba, Alec Wilder, as well as arrangements specific to the Denver TubaChristmas by Bill Clark. This is your chance to sing along or just enjoy the dulcet tones of your favorite low brass instruments as they play some of your favorite Christmas carols!
The concert will start at 11am in Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex (Arts Complex). Coffee and hot chocolate will be sold at the Buspresso coffee bus. TubaChristmas merchandise will be available for purchase at the 1965 Ragtop Tuba Bus. Please bring your own chairs and dress according to the weather. Tell your friends and family, call your neighbors and woodwind players, and join 250+ of your closest tuba friends for a downtown Denver holiday tradition.
- We never cancel for weather, so dress for a balmy 70 degrees or frigid below zero weather day…both have happened! BRING A MUSIC STAND! Chairs are provided for performers only.
- Decorated Tubas are fun. Like, really fun. Tinsel, garlands, ornaments…
